1. Getting Started with DigiSaloon
How to create a new user account
Creating your account on DigiSaloon is your first step towards a seamless salon experience. We have kept the sign-up process fast and simple. To create a new account, follow these steps:
- Download and open the DigiSaloon app on your smartphone.
- Tap on 'Sign Up' and enter your Full Name, a valid Mobile Number, and Email Address.
- Create a strong password (using letters, numbers, and a special character) to keep your account secure.
- Allow 'Location Access' when prompted so DigiSaloon can show you the best salons nearest to you.
Verifying your phone number or email address
To secure your account and prevent fake bookings, we verify every new user. This is a quick one-time process:
- Once you submit your details, a 6-digit OTP (One Time Password) will be sent via SMS to your registered mobile number.
- Enter this OTP on the screen and tap 'Verify'. If you don't receive it, tap 'Resend OTP' after 30 seconds.
- For certain features, you may need to verify your email by clicking the confirmation link sent to your inbox.
A quick guide to navigating the app
The DigiSaloon app is designed to be user-friendly. Once logged in, you can easily use these main sections:
- Home Screen: Discover top-rated salons, current discount offers, and popular stylists in your area. Use the top search bar to find a specific salon or service.
- Bottom Navigation: Use the 'Bookings' tab for upcoming appointments, the 'Live Token' tab to track your real-time waiting status in the queue, and the 'Profile' tab to manage your settings.
2. Bookings & Appointments
How to book a salon appointment
Fixing an appointment at your favorite salon is just a few clicks away:
- Select a salon from the Home screen or via search to view their address, ratings, and photos.
- Go to the 'Services' tab, select your preferred services (like Hair, Skin, Nails), and tap 'Add to Cart'.
- Click 'Proceed' to open the calendar and choose a convenient date and available time slot.
- On the final page, apply any promo code you have, select your payment method (UPI, Card, or Pay at Salon), and tap 'Confirm Booking'. You will receive an instant notification.
Rescheduling or canceling an upcoming booking
We understand that plans change. Rescheduling or canceling is easy:
- To Reschedule: Go to the 'Bookings' tab, open your upcoming booking, and select 'Reschedule' to pick a new date or time (subject to salon availability).
- To Cancel: On the booking details page, scroll down and click the large red 'Cancel' button. Select a short reason for cancellation and submit.
- Refund Note: If you paid online, your amount will be refunded in the next 24 hours directly to your original payment method.
Viewing your past booking history
Your past services and digital invoices are always safely stored:
- Go to the 'Profile' or 'Bookings' tab and click on 'Past Bookings' or 'History'.
- Tap on any entry to see the exact details (Date, Time, Stylist Name, Services Taken, and Total Amount). You can also download your digital invoice here.
- Use the 'Rebook' option to quickly book the exact same services at the same salon without having to search again.
3. The Live Token System
How the digital token queue works
Say goodbye to waiting in crowded salon reception areas. Our Live Token System is designed to value your time by placing you in a transparent, virtual queue.
- When you confirm a booking, the app generates a unique digital Token Number for you.
- This token represents your exact position in the salon's active daily queue.
- As the salon serves customers ahead of you, your token automatically moves up in real-time, giving you complete visibility of the crowd before you even step out of your house.
Tracking your live token status and estimated wait time
Keeping track of your turn is incredibly simple and happens in real-time right on your screen:
- Open the DigiSaloon app and tap on the 'Live Token' tab at the bottom, or check the live tracker widget on your Home screen.
- Here, you will see your 'Estimated Wait Time' dynamically updating based on the salon's current speed.
- We also send you automated push notifications when your turn is approaching, so you only need to leave your home or office exactly when it's time for your service.
What to do if you miss your token turn
We know that traffic or unexpected delays can happen. Here is how we handle missed turns:
- If you do not arrive when your token is called, salons generally provide a short 10 to 15-minute grace period.
- If you are delayed beyond this grace period, your current token may expire to keep the queue moving fairly for other waiting customers.
- In such cases, you will need to request a new token through the app or speak directly to the salon reception upon arrival to be accommodated in the next available slot.
4. Payments, Cancellations & Refunds
Accepted payment methods
We offer a highly secure, encrypted payment checkout to ensure your data is always safe. You can choose from multiple convenient options:
- UPI: We accept all major UPI apps including Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, and Amazon Pay for instant one-tap payments.
- Cards: All major domestic Credit and Debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay) are fully supported.
- Net Banking & Wallets: You can also use standard net banking portals or popular digital wallets.
- Pay at Salon: Prefer to pay in cash? Choose the 'Pay at Salon' option to secure your booking and pay directly at the counter after your service is complete.
What happens if a payment fails but money is deducted?
Payment failures are rare, but network fluctuations can sometimes cause a temporary glitch. Do not worry, your money is completely safe:
- If your account is debited but the booking shows as 'Failed', our automated payment verification system instantly flags the transaction.
- You do not need to take any action. The system will auto-initiate a reversal process.
- The deducted amount will automatically reflect back in your original bank account within 3 to 5 working days, depending on your bank's processing time.
Our cancellation policy and the 24-hour refund process
We believe in a transparent and stress-free cancellation process. If you need to drop your plans, you can cancel your booking anytime before the token is activated:
- Navigate to your 'Bookings' tab and hit the red 'Cancel' button on your active appointment.
- As soon as you cancel a prepaid booking, our automated refund system triggers instantly.
- Your amount will be refunded in the next 24 hours. It will be seamlessly credited back to the exact UPI ID, card, or wallet you used to make the payment. You can track the real-time refund status directly from your profile dashboard.
5. Offers, Promos & Referral Rewards
How to apply a promo code or discount coupon
Maximizing your savings on DigiSaloon is quick and straightforward. We regularly provide exciting discount coupons for our users.
- Browse the app to find your preferred salon and add your desired services to the cart.
- Proceed to the checkout page. Just above the payment options, you will see an 'Apply Promo Code' or 'Offers' section.
- Tap on it to view available coupons or manually type in a specific promo code you have received.
- Hit 'Apply'. The discount will be instantly calculated, and your final payable amount will update automatically before you proceed to pay.
Understanding the referral program
Good things are meant to be shared! Our referral program is designed to reward both you and your friends.
- Head over to the 'Refer & Earn' section found in your app's main menu or profile dashboard.
- Here, you will find your unique referral link and code. Share this directly via WhatsApp, SMS, or social media.
- When your friend downloads DigiSaloon using your link and successfully completes their first salon appointment, the system automatically credits reward points to both of your accounts. There is no limit to how many friends you can refer!
Checking your digital wallet or reward points balance
Keeping track of your earned rewards and promotional cash is very simple.
- Navigate to the 'Profile' tab and select 'My Wallet' or 'Reward Points'.
- This dedicated dashboard displays your current available balance, a history of points earned, and any points that might be expiring soon.
- You can seamlessly redeem these wallet points during your next checkout to get a direct deduction on your total salon bill.
6. Account Settings & Profile Management
Updating your profile details
Keeping your profile information accurate ensures you get the best personalized salon recommendations and seamless booking confirmations.
- Tap on the 'Profile' icon located on the bottom navigation bar of the app.
- Select 'Edit Profile' at the top of the screen.
- Here, you can easily update your Full Name, secondary Email Address, and primary Location.
- Make sure your location is accurate, as our system uses this to display the nearest top-rated salons and accurate live token data. Tap 'Save Changes' once you are done.
Resetting a forgotten password
Locked out of your account? Do not worry, regaining access takes less than a minute.
- On the main login screen, tap the 'Forgot Password?' link located just below the login button.
- Enter your registered mobile number or email address associated with your DigiSaloon account.
- You will instantly receive a secure 6-digit OTP (One Time Password) via SMS or Email.
- Enter the OTP to verify your identity, and you will be prompted to create a new, strong password. Save it, and you can log back in immediately.
How to delete your DigiSaloon account
We value your privacy and give you full control over your personal data. If you wish to leave our platform, you can delete your account directly from the app.
- Go to your 'Profile' section, select 'Settings', and tap on 'Privacy & Security'.
- Scroll to the bottom and select 'Delete Account'.
- Important Warning: Please note that deleting your account is a permanent action. It will instantly erase all your personal details, past booking history, digital invoices, and any unused wallet funds or reward points. You will be asked to confirm this action one final time before the account is permanently removed.
9. Troubleshooting & Technical Issues
What to do if the app crashes or freezes
Occasional technical glitches can happen, but they are usually very easy to fix. If the DigiSaloon app becomes unresponsive, freezes, or crashes unexpectedly:
- First, completely close the application by swiping it away from your smartphone's 'Recent Apps' or background tasks menu.
- Reopen the app to see if it functions normally.
- If the issue persists, open the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and check if a new version of DigiSaloon is available. Keeping your app updated ensures you have the latest bug fixes and performance improvements.
- As a final step, restarting your mobile device can help clear any temporary system-level memory issues that might be causing the lag.
Fixing GPS or location-tracking errors
DigiSaloon relies on precise location data to show you the best nearby salons and accurate live token estimates. If the app cannot detect your location:
- Ensure that your phone's general GPS or 'Location Services' toggle is turned on.
- Go to your phone's main 'Settings', select 'Apps' or 'App Management', and find DigiSaloon.
- Tap on 'Permissions' and ensure the 'Location' permission is set to 'Allow only while using the app' or 'Ask every time'.
- If you are indoors, try moving near a window or stepping outside briefly so your device can establish a stronger GPS connection.
How to clear the app cache for better performance
Over time, apps store temporary data (cache) that can sometimes slow down performance or cause minor loading errors. Clearing this cache will make the app run faster without deleting your personal account data.
- For Android Users: Go to your phone's Settings > Apps > Manage Apps > DigiSaloon. Tap on 'Storage' and then click 'Clear Cache'. Do not click 'Clear Data', as that will log you out.
- For iOS Users: The easiest way to clear cache on an iPhone is to uninstall the DigiSaloon app from your home screen and reinstall it fresh from the App Store.
10. Privacy, Security & Legal
How we protect your personal data
Your privacy and the security of your data are our absolute highest priorities. We employ industry-leading digital security measures to ensure your information remains safe at all times.
- All personal details, including your phone number, email, and booking history, are protected and stored on 100% secure, encrypted servers.
- We use advanced SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption for all data transmission within the application.
- For financial transactions, we partner with fully compliant, bank-grade payment gateways. DigiSaloon does not store your sensitive credit card numbers or UPI PINs on our internal servers.

Reporting suspicious activity or a security concern
Maintaining a safe community requires teamwork. If you ever notice something that does not seem right:
- If you spot a fake salon profile, experience suspicious behavior from a stylist, or notice unauthorized transactions on your DigiSaloon account, please report it immediately.
- Send an email directly to our dedicated security team at support@digisaloon.com with the subject line "Security Concern".
- Our team actively monitors these reports and will take swift, strict action against any account violating our platform's safety guidelines.
